These ringneck squabs are approximatly 2 and 3 days old. Note the abundant yellow down on the left and sparse down on the right.

These ringneck hatchlings show a normal bill ring on the dark squab at the right and a thin bill ring at the left on the blond squab. The normal bill ring is approximately 1mm wide; and the thin bill ring is approximately one half millimeter wide. Note the wild type tan colored down; the blond squab's down is dilute tan.
